The Up-Side of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

Hi again, sorry i haven't posted in a while, as school is finishing up there has been a fair bit of homework, so i have been pretty busy. As always, there will be spoilers in this review, so if you want to read this book without knowing anything, i suggest you stop reading now. I'm gonna start by saying that i was putting off reading this book., I generally choose what i read by grabbing a random book off the shelf, i do this because if i don't i end up reading stories in the same genre constantly and nothing new or challenging. From reading the blurb, the book just didn't look like something that i would enjoy. Anyway, i finally decided to read it, and i am very glad i did.

This book revolves around Molly Peskin-Suso, a seventeen year old girl living with her twin sister Cassie, her little brother Xavier and her mums. When Cassie's new girlfriend Mina and her hipster-boy best friend Will enter the picture, everything changes. It would be perfect if Molly and Will ended up together, but there is a problem, Reid, Molly's co-worker, but she couldn't fall for him, could she?

I actually could not put this book down. It was funny and had me wanting to know how it ended from the very first page. I loved almost all of the characters, except for one, Will, for one of the love interests in this book, and therefore a pretty important character, i just didn't think that he he had enough detail to him. There actually aren't that many moments in the book where you actually get to learn about Will. By the end of the book, all i really knew about him was that he was hipster, and that he was in love with Mina. This is the only part of this incredible book that i didn't absolutely love. I love the way that Becky Albertalli writes, and will definitely be looking for more of her books in the future. I give this book a 8.8 out of 10.
