Queen of Air and Darkness (book three in The Dark Artifices series) by Cassandra Clare

Hi again, sorry this one has taken me a few days, but this book was roughly 912 pages long, and i haven't been reading much as i have been spending a lot of time with friends over these holidays. Anyway, as Cassandra Clare is my second favourite author (in case you are wondering, Derek Landy is my favourite) i was very excited when i found out about this book. I love the way Cassandra writes so i was expecting an incredible book, when i managed to buy and read this book, i was most certainly in no way disappointed. As always this review contains spoilers, so if you don't want to read them i suggest you stop reading now.

I loved everything about this book. I don't really have any complaints apart from a small part of the book that confused me a little. In Thule, the alternate timeline where Clary was killed by the demon Lillith and Sebastian won the Battle of the Burren, Julian and Emma are told by the alternate version of Diana that most of the parabatai in Thule, turned into giants and ruined cities. Later in the book, Julain and Emma become giants because they are parabatai in love, but why did the parabatai in Thule do it? Diana said that the majority of them did, but there is a law against falling in love with your parabatai. Now, i understand that there may be parabatai like Julian and Emma who broke this law, but surely not most of them? It was just something that confused me, this may because of something that i have missed in the story but it was the only negative thing i could say about this book. I loved the alternate reality and everything else in this fantastic book, and rate it 9.9 out of 10.
